James is a second-year doctoral candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he studies the role of the arts in human development and education. His work spans many academic disciplines, but he feels most at home with philosophy (aesthetics and epistemology), the learning sciences, and the humanities. He is also a teacher, actor and singer, and has performed throughout the world.
