Paul Creeden

Paul Creeden was born in 1950 in Chelsea, Massachusetts. During and after college, he became active in the post-Stonewall Gay Liberation Movement. in Boston. He also studied politics, practical philosophy and world religions. He taught high school for two years, returned to nursing school and worked subsequently as an openly gay professional nurse for twenty years in traditional and GLBT-community settings in Boston and New York City. He retired from his job as the clinical director of Boston's largest residential AIDS hospice in 1995 due to being told he had only six months to live. Since then, he has written for his own Web site, paulcreeden.com (1998-2006), and his blog, Buddha's Pillow (2006-present).
